Is anyone aware of the fact that there used to be a small fleet of gondola cars (of NKP and NYC ownership) dedicated to the transport of GE material from Erie to Schenectady ?

As memory serves, each car was equipped to transport one locomotive set of material, ranging from the heavy items (such as main generator and traction motors) to the smaller items such as the contents of the of the contactor cabinet (contained within purpose built re-usable shipping crates.)

It would be interesting to come up with additional details...and maybe even a photo.
