Cross post from Trainorders.com Ed Ellis from Iowa Pacific is currently in search of an E (B) unit. "We are looking for a B-unit, or even a former B-unit made into a steam generator car.... Got any ideas?" Maybe someone here can steer them in the right direction? Recall this is the company that runs several tourist lines including the Rio Grande Scenic with it's now mostly Illinois Central liveried passenger set, along with a rather colorful steam engine. Ed reports they own 8 E units! Also reported via Trainorders that: "We have ordered 104 F-36 wheels, so we will be able to run these units for the long term.... " UP - you listening? I assume Ed can be reached at the site: http://www.iowapacific.com/passenger-an ... vices.html /Mitch |

There do not seem to many E-8 B units left out there. |

UP still has an unrestored E9B - not sure if it will ever get restored or not P&W has an B-unit used as a power car (ex UP?) There might be a few others, anyone? What 8 E-units do they have? |
