Well folks after a 60 degree weather day here on Long Island, we had the opportunity to finish the first paint job on LIRR 25 ton locomotive 399. She is now covered from wheels to smokestack in her 1960's orange and black paint. She will receive two more coats of this paint later in the year. ( I would say spring but who knows how good the weather will be again next week) The remaining handrails on the engineer's side have also been reinstalled. Next week the handrails for the rear coupler will be reinstalled as well.

You've done a nice job preserving the little shop loco, Anthony. Time to letter some of the passenger cars.
