We finally got all our ducks in a row and recovered both ends of the 1878 narrow gauge car 'Geneva' today from its field in Loveland Colorado. As can be seen it has suffered horrendous abuse over the years including a hopeless restoration attempt in the 1980's/1990's, this is what hastened the cars ultimate demise. The ends will reside in Como Co and Cheyenne WY respectively and be restored in due course.

Great job and congratulations! Is this is the C&S car that was falling apart at the Sundown and Southern when it was auctioned off?

Yes thats correct, an abortive restoration attempt, then a sale at auction followed by more neglect and a chainsaw, then a move to a new locationand abandonment.....sad story really. But she will be transformed, i can see the results in my mind right now !

Many thanks to the DSP&P historical society who help financially with the recovery.
