Normally I wouldn't put anything with "choo choo" here, but I recently found on that addictive YouTube a recording of the song, "Old Black Choo Choo," which apparently dates back to at least 1955. It was pleasant to hear this again for the first time since I was much, much younger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWOa5HWT0mI Just another example of how railroads were once part of the landscape and lives of Americans. . .and that somebody then noticed the loss that came with the retirement of steam. . . |
