| Post subject: | "Shipping Wars" moves a wood caboose |
I just saw on the A&E network teaser that "Shipping Wars" is moving a wood caboose body by truck.... By chance is anybody familiar with the move or involved with that episode? I just got a glimpse of it and it may be an ex-GN wood cupola hack from the general outline. If you haven't seen this show yet...it's not for the faint of heart. There's a website (that I refuse to assist here) where you can put your load up for competitive bid from point A to point B. The show follows the load from the bid and talks to the bidders, then follows the actual move. That includes equipment failures, overload violations, load damage, etc. It makes for interesting TV and in this day of trying to move rail stuff by highway, is borderline educational, not necessarily in a good way. Update: Here's the teaser on the A&E website: http://www.aetv.com/shipping-wars/episo ... pisode=5#5 What IS that caboose???? Air date is shown as January 24th. |
