| Post subject: | Prince returns to the Ffestiniog |
Now, to our friends across the pond. After about a year being on display at the Severn Valley Railway's "Engine House", Ffestiniog Railway #2 "Prince" (a George England 0-4-0ST-T for those who don't know) has returned to the Ffestiniog Railway for overhaul to active service. Prince was put on display at the Severn Valley Railway shortly after he was pulled from service a few years ago for overhaul. The current hope is to have Prince in service for his 150th birthday. An overhaul that wasn't completed in 1946, the year the railway closed before becoming a heritage railway, was completed on August 2, 1955. Prince was to hold the yeoman service for the railway for about two years.
