Tom,

She is getting a full tube job, some work on her boiler checks, a new steam turret, and replacement of the door sheet. Then reassembly and back to work.

Can I ask what the boiler checks will be getting?

The checks themselves will just be cleaned and lapped, but the firemans side has a reinforcing plate on the boiler that is most likely going to be replaced as it has a small horizontal crack in it. This is apparently a fairly common defect which is understandable due to the repeated addition of cold water to a hot boiler.
