What a shame ! I have known Ken as a regular at the NRHS board meetings and conventions for several years. He was definitely quiet, as the obituary said. I never would have guessed he was in radio.

Ken served a variety of duties in his decades with the Baltimore Chapter, including President and VP, National Director, Officer, and PA announcer during Baltimore Chapter excursions back in the 1970s and 1980s, as I recall. He was active to the end, part of the Wednesday volunteer crew at the Maryland Rail Heritage Library at the Streetcar Museum; indeed, he was there as usual just last Wednesday. His passing does come as a shock to us.

More later, I hope......

There's an older (circa 1995) article about him at

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1995-0 ... bm-radio/3.

What's interesting is he was in Baltimore for a fan trip and while he was there stopped by a radio station and walked into a radio station, applied for a job ... and was hired.
