Anyone have specs for the WH U72H line switch for PCCs?

Thanks.

Wesley

Hi Wes:

Although both of our PCC cars have GE propulsion equipment, we have some WH PCC info in our electronic files. I will see what we have on the WH line switch requested and drop you a note off-line.

Best wishes,

This is an earlier type used on air-electrics, our TTC 4000 has a UM72H. I have drawings for various components, not sure about a overall spec. sheet. Are there any specific details you require, coil Ohmages, etc.? I can dig up most of those.

Gord,

This is for DCTS 1101, a 1937 air car. Drawings would be helpful for the records. The main contacts on the line switch are now showing wear due to age. Do you know if they are interchangeable with contacts on the A-15s?

Many thanks.

PTM has Pittsburgh 1138, a similar Westinghouse air car. Try a PM to David Hamley.
He is the most likely person to have control information on this car.

Former TTC A-15 class, all-electric PCC's (4600's) and class A-15H (4500/49), use UMA25A line breakers, tips are not interchangeable with the UM72, arc horns are different, too, will see if I have drawings.

Orange Empire produced UM-72 main main contacts and arc horns a few years back, might be worth checking wiith John Smatlak.

Gord
