As some of you know, I have been working on a senior honors thesis on the 728th Railway Operating Battalion in World War II. The unit was sponsored by the L&N RR. I defended the thesis in late April, and my professors like it. While I am nervous about posting the thesis, here it goes, just follow the link. You need Adobe Acrobat to read it. I will apologize in advance for any mistakes. Please, if you have any comments, good bad or otherwise, let me know. I plan on using this as the genesis for my Master's thesis. Thanks for any input.

Well now, I have been annoyed in the past when persons take the time to write what is essentially a very good brief, including a photo or link to photo(s), and then post it on the Interchange instead of offering it as a news brief.

This is the first time I've seen somebody post a perfectly good article on the Interchange....

Seriously, that's an impressive looking article, I will try and read it in the near future.
