Not out, but leaked, the new Springsteen CD "Wrecking Ball" contains a few things of note for the ongoing, long-term RYPN train song discussion.

A reworked "Land of Hope and Dreams" takes it's pre-existing train theme and adds loops of "People Get Ready" so you get a one-two punch of railroad metaphors.

A new song, "We Are Alive" namechecks the Great Railroad Strike of 1877 -- not exactly common pop rock fodder... Maybe the ghost of Utah Phillips has had some influence?

I am looking forward to hearing this disc. Who knows, maybe the next disc will contain a ballad about the D&RG vs. AT&SF Royal Gorge war! :-)
