If interested in acquiring Alco 251 engines, American Commercial Lines (ACL) http://www.aclines.com/, a towboat operator, is currently installing GE 8L250M marine engines in their boats replacing Alco 251 marine engines. The engines are coming out operational, and they are placing them in the parking lot. Half are normal rotation, half are reverse rotation. They are sitting in the parking lot of JR Boat Dock in Wickliffe, KY. Just wanted to let you know in case you are interested in obtaining an engine or two if they would fit properly in the older Alco's. Or even if you wanted a parts supply.
