844 Shakedown run today

Beautiful day here in Cheyenne 67 degrees and 844 out on a shakedown run to Speer, she looks beautiful with a brand new boiler jacket.....well she is beautiful anyway.

It's not that, I thought the jacketing was just replaced 6-7 years ago.

That what the re-routing of the plumbing was intended to alleviate, we will see how it works out when she heads East next week.

Looks like a lot of new chrome or polished stainless bolts and nuts on that new jacket, too. And same thing with the washout plug openings in the jacket. Or maybe it's just the way the sunlight hits it.

Looks strange to me.

Stainless steel bowls that you use to feed and water your beloved dog or cat turn out to be perfect fits for washout plugs! CPR 2816 did that, and I think we used then on CNR 6167 as well...
