Post subject:  Where is this 0-4-0 Now?
I can't seem to find it listed on steamlocomotive.com. Just wondering where this boomer has gone to. In the late 80s it was on the Buckeye Central Scenic, then to the PL&W, then I lost track of it. It started life as an 0-4-0T then converted to a tender locomotive. I think the owner's name was Hal.

BTW she looks so tiny pulling around that SW8, Y&S no 71 which now resides at Age of Steam. At the very end of the video notice the abundant clearance between the coaches and Mill Rock cut!

Nice little engine. I'm sure just about every small tourist railroad in the country would be gunning for that if it resurfaced for sale.

It is, indeed, in Heritage Park, McDonough, GA. Here is a link to a short video of the loco, where it is currently nicely stuffed & mounted. Supposedly it is there because it is "like" the original old #7 that wrecked nearby in the Camp Creek wreck of 1900! (Since it was built 28 years after that wreck, I wonder what the original "old #7" must have looked like!!!)

I would like to know how it went from being a rebuilt, operating locomotive in 1994 to a static display 18 years later. As Mark stated, it would be perfect for a small tourist railroad.

I suspect, from my experiences, that the maintenance-of-way department of said railroads might have cause to disagree. Short-wheelbase 0-4-0, looks like it's got a lot of weight on the drivers for its size....... there's a reason that the old "wild west" parks that rebuilt 0-4-0T's into "wild west" locos ended up adding lead axles, after all, and it wasn't entirely cosmetic.
