Riding down Tonnelle Ave/Route 1 in Jersey City today I saw a wood sided caboose next to a building on the east side of Route 1. This is directly south of the NJ Transit Tonnelle light rail station. Any ideas on heritage? It seems to be shorn of its cupola, but may still be on trucks.

Edited to add a map link:

It is the red object dead center in this view - http://binged.it/ymLgNv

That residents of the trailer park are under threat of eviction. The owner wants to rebuild the site with a more intense use. This is probably the closest trailer park to NYC.

I have never heard any real story behind the origins of that caboose.
