I am taking our pattern for SP/SPC/Carter marker lamp brackets (for wooden passenger cars) into the foundry to have some parts cast. Some for us, some for the group at Laws California. If anyone needs any this would be a good time to speak up.

Randy: Make sure you also send your note to Rod Fishburn, the ARM/TRAIN parts "committee" chair/coordinator. He can then send out a note to all participants on the committee. His e-mail address is: rodfishburn@earhlink.net

Thanks!

Considering the prices they command when they rarely show up on eBay, I have often wondered if full-size reproduction of Pennsy four-legged classification lights would be marketable to the average collector.

Anyway, since you are going to reproduce these items of S.P. heritage, it's really good of you to offer the opportunity to have more made for those who would want to purchase replicas.

Richard, the Pennsy Style Markers have been reproduced for some years now buy at least one guy in Ohio. He sells them often at Gaithersburg. He uses original Pyle National or other tops and has the uniqe bottoms cast and together with a fresh sandblasting, paint job with new lenses they look fresh out of the shop. I'd like to say this person list them as reproductions but I can't say that. And these do command a nice price, even with half of them being recast...

Does he list them on line? Does RMPA have a resource? Vandals carried away a number of markers from the two LIRR G5's, and I know the custodians want to replace them. Let me add, if I had an original from which to make a model, I could cast them in aluminum for a very affordable price for collectors. Certainly within the budgets of Pennsy guys who really want them.

sorry to bring this thread back out west, but can someone refer me to an online photo/drawing of the SP lamp bracket to which Randy is referring?
