Does anyone know what was the last EMD unit actually built at LaGrange? Any info on railroad and road number would be appreciated. Thanks!

This Chicago Trib article says it was a Metra unit built in December 1992...

So, I'm guessing Metra F40PHM-2 No. 214... just a guess, but it fits with the facts in the article

Definately a Metra F40PHM-2 according to the official EMD history:

"In December, EMD delivers the final locomotive of an order for 30 F40PHM-2 units to METRA. This is the last unit assembled at the McCook plant."

Just be sure to lock up your locomotives at night.

Me? Scout out acquisitions? Why, the very idea...

And by the way, I have an excellent set of lockpicks.
