I was browsing through some train photos when I found this http://thesawbuck.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d4rpkdg I thought I would do some digging around to find out where "Engine Number 70" resides and the only place where I found a Baldwin Steam locomotive with the #70 is the Mt. Rainer Scenic Railroad however comparing the photo to a number of photos of Mt. Rainer Scenic Railroad's #70 they look to be two different locomotives. So what is the one I found if not the one from the Mt. Rainer Scenic Railroad? |

The picture is of White Pass and Yukon 2-8-2 #70 which today is pulling tourists around a dogbone loop at the Dollywood Theme Park in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. She shares these duties with sister WP&Y engine #192 also operational at the park. Dollywood is also in poccession of sister engine WP&Y 71 and parts of engine #72 which reside in their repair shop. Another WP&Y sister #190 is operational a few miles away over in North Carolina at the Tweetsie Railroad. |
