Post subject:  WELCOME TO THE NEW INTERCHANGE LOCATION

OK, update the Interchange relocation situation as of Monday morning the 17th, about 8:00 AM PST.

The Interchange has been moved to a new server. Unfortunately, messages posted at the old location from about June 7th up until the old location was taken down this morning are lost. We apologize for this. While it was mostly bad news the last few days (like 1522 and Chama) there was still a bunch of good stuff there I hated to lose.

At the new location, I am as of yet unable to figure out how to get the mail notification feature reactivated. I have a call for help into tech support, and hopefully they can get me straightened out soon. People who were on the subcriber's list are still there, and will receive messages again, with no action required on their part, once the problem is corrected.

Again, I apologize for the confusion and the lost messages. Access to those messages went away sooner than expected, for which I'll accept responsibility. But, any new messages posted at the old location could not be saved (by me anyway), so probably best that it was shut down sooner than later.

And, this whole problem was caused by the old host provider moving everything to a new server and not adequately communicating the fact that this was happening. The Interchnage was still working on the old server, but I no longer had (or have) access to the server to back up the files. I was probably going to move the Interchange to a new account anyway with unlimited bandwidth, but that wasn't supposed to hapen for a couple of months. This has accelerated the process.
