Post subject:  TWO steam locomotives on Oil Creek & Titusville RR in July

The Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad (Titusville, PA) will be hosting TWO
steam locomotives and running extra and rare mileage excursion trains
Saturday July 14 and Sunday July 15.

Viscose Company #6, owned and completely restored to operating condition by Scott
Symans of Dunkirk, NY. and Flagg Coal Co #75, restored and owned by John
and Byron Gramling of Ashley, IN, will be doing the honors.

OC&T's schedule each day includes THREE one and a half hour trips on the
ex NYC/LS&MS "Fieldmore Springs Line (rare passenger mileages) freight only
branch through the city of Titusville to East Titusville (Fieldmore
Springs). Also on the schedule each day will be ONE three hour run on
the ex-PRR Chautauqua Branch through "The Valley That Changed The World"
between Titusville and Rynd Farm, also steam powered. ("The Valley"
contains the location of the first ever oil well, drilled by Col. Edwin
Drake in 1859. The area is currently a PA State Park.)

All trains will depart from Perry Street Station (409 South Perry Street,
Titusville, PA). The train to Rynd Farm will make station stops at Drake
Well Museum and Petroleum Center enroute.
