Just curious, why these guys (3751) run without a tool car or A-tank.

Reports are the auxiliary tank (from 4449/Portland) was held up in transit to L.A. and didn't make the run........

OT: but I found it interesting I saw that Amtrak heritage P42 come into DC on the Capital mid last week.

Especially appropriate is the number of the Amtrak unit: 66. The Santa Fe route parallels Historic Route 66 for hundreds of miles in California, Arizona and New Mexico. Elrond Lawrence authored a book on the subject, Route 66 Railway, featuring photos of my old home road and The Mother Road.

The comments on another site about the lack of smoke made me laugh. They want it accurate but not TOO accurate. Lots of smoke but no orange vests.
