Note sky divers watching her return. Sky diving is a big sport(?) here in the Perris Valley.

VC 2 was built by Baldwin, and the builder's plate reads May 1922, making the Prairie 90 years old this month. It has just been restored to service after its 5-year inspection and maintenance. Also running yesterday were UP 942 (EMD E-8) in its splendid new paint job, SP 1474 (Alco S-2) and SP 3100 (General Electric U-25B). In the electric field, we had a narrow-gauge LATL streetcar parade augmented with PE 717 (Brill center-entrance suburban car), PE 1624 (Torrance- Shops-built freight motor) and Hutchinson & Northern #1 (GE 30-ton freight motor).
