The Leviathan group is planning on re-creating the Lincoln Funeral Train in 2015. The website is here: http://www.the2015lincolnfuneraltrain.com/ No, they're not planning on doing the whole trip by rail... Looks like a great idea, hope they can pull it off, and based on their previous track record (oh, bad pun!) I suspect they'll do just fine. |

I heard about this project. I do know that they plan on building a replica of the coach that carried Lincoln body to his finally resting place. But are they just building that one coach or are they going to build a replica of the entire or most of the train (coachs and all) with replicas? My guess is that it might be one or two coachs (maybe 3 or 4 if they have enough $$$) |

Mr. Kloke will build as many cars as he can raise the monies for. At this time plans call for the Lincoln Funeral Car and a immigrant car. He also has a combine to restore sometime in the future. All it takes is Money & determination (heavy on the money side...) |

This would be a cool sight! I have an HO scale of the Lincoln funeral train I got when I was a kid! It will be nice to see this project done |
