While it's probably old hat to most of you, Flagg Coal 75 will be arriving at Railroad Museum of New England on June 6 for a two-week visit. Public trips will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday--- June 8, 9, 10 and 15, 16, and 17. Schedule and on-line ticket sales at: www.rmne.org.

We always look forward to hosting the Gramlings and #75, and we all enjoy experiencing the sounds, smells and sights of steam power on the Naugatuck Railroad.

Come on out and visit, and see 75 handle 3 CNR coaches, see CV caboose 4014, see the nice new interior of Thomaston station!

There will be many brand new Thompson caps being inaugurated those days, being properly anointed with "magic dust" from 75.

Be there!

A neat engine owned and operated by some really nice people.

Hope it comes to Scranton again some day.

FC 75 started christening those new Thompson #305 caps today in Northwest Connecticut with a historic trip north to Torrington. This is the first time a steam engine has operated in Torrington since 1948! Thanks to the Gramlings for helping make this historic event possible. It surely is great to have them back for another year.

Please visit rmne.org for more information regarding FC 75's visit.

Thanks, Gary! That's great to hear! I received a similar report from John and Barney Gramling when they arrived in Thomaston, the other day.

FC 75 was safely delivered on Wednesday the 6th and warmed up that evening for an early start the next morning. Thursday the 7th, saw steam service in Torrington, CT for the first time since 1948. She is currently in service pulling a consist of three heavyweight CN coaches over a route that covers about 6 miles, round trip.

Here is some local press regarding FC 75's historic visit to Torrington, CT.
