For all of those that choose to use the word "never" I propose that the culmination of the professionalism and adherence to standard practice as exhibited by TVRM (the, in my mind, long standing premier tourist rail museum operation in the country) and the understanding of positive PR and employee appreciation as embraced by the Norfolk Southern Corporation should be a lesson to us all...... That when things are done CORRECTLY......anything is possible!!!!!! The fact that steam has returned to Atlanta is absolutely fantastic and a reflection of Georgia Steam events to come. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcDfld9OyZw Cheers, Jason |

A class act as always, Mark and Tim, thanks. And, thank you Mr. Moorman. Thinking about that little hole in the wall with the great burgers in Cabbagetown, and the little 0-4-0T by Poss Iron Works....been a long time since I was in Atlanta. dave |

Glad to see Southern Railway #630 return to Atlanta after all these years since the last old Norfolk Southern Steam program last had a steam excursion there. Keep up the good work with the program Mr. Moorman. |

Scott wrote: What is the wonderful whistle on this locomotive? Sounds great on the video. It's a Virginia and Southwestern long-bell 3-chime. Basically a copy of a Southern long-bell (aka "Ps4 whistle") without the vertical valve. The V&SW was a subsidiary of the Southern. |
