I once found some photos of a 2-8-0 or 0-8-0 that Rio Grande had converted into a tank engine (to serve as the Salt Lake City shop switcher). I found a couple of photos on drgw.net (http://www.drgw.net/gallery/DRGW01), but I remember seeing at least one photo somewhere that was different than those. I've also seen reference to an S-19 class of tank engines.

Do any of you know anything else about Rio Grande tank engines? I'm especially interested in photos.

Thanks for the photos and the links. I had run across these n.g. engines on a modeller's website. Unfortunately, I'm looking for standard gauge. I know the photo I remember seeing is out there somewhere. When an engine's only in existence for less than 10 years, and it only live around the shop, you've got to get lucky to get a photo.
