Only a couple days to go until the CRHS excursion pulls out of Washington Union Station. I want to thank the few of you on here who are riding along an I really want to issue some 'Attaboys' to the Harrisburg Chapter NRHS whos members contributed the route guide to our trip book. Thanks guys! I also wanted to mention that we at CRHS are stepping up our trip schedule and are going to try to run a trip every year so that we can bank money to match grants we're working on so that we can buy a home. We have a couple routes in mind and once it's run by the appropriate people for a preliminary yay/nay, I'll post more details. Also this year, look for posts about the impending completion of our F41 flat car project, the painting of our N7E caboose, and further work on our camp car 62610. I'm also happy to announce that last weekend, we gave 570 rides and raised over $3500 at our 'Ride the Rails for Cancer' event at the M&H Railroad. 100% of the proceeds go to Vickie's Angel Walk who passes the money on to families in need in Central PA. To date, we've helped them raise over $14,000.
