Post subject: | PCC car being scrapped |
North Texas Transportation is in the process of scrapping a Tandy rebuilt PCC. There are parts that will be available but the trucks and motors are spoken for. If you are interested in what is known and will be shortly available, please contact H_K_Nicholls@peoplepc.com. I am in the process of preparing a list and will send it to anyone interested. So far, there is a GE control box for the rectifiers that has 5 or 6 arc chutes and attached mechanisms and I have some photos of the contents. There are electric materials used within the car: ceramic fuse holders, 2 rheostats, switches, pneumatic parts, etc. I will be taking pictures of the material here (Dallas) that are now out of the car, so give me a day or two for assembly into an album. Offers for purchase or trade are welcome and should be addressed to Andy Nold: tnold@ northtexastransport.org. Freight costs will not be prepaid by NTTA. This announcement will be posted on RYPN, Rail Swap, and ARM Parts list. Harry Nicholls |
