He still has that car!
This season it is being offered to the public to ride in as a ''Parlor Car''
on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway at Jim Thorpe, PA.

In 1999 when the excursion train was changed over from BM&R Pullman Green to LV-ish Cornell Red and lettered Reading Blue Mountain & Northern, the ''Queen of the Valley'' became RBMN Car #5 ''Schuylkill River''.

This car was one of the original 20 cars he bought from NJ Transit when they sold off all the ex-DL&W MU trailers in fall of 1984. The car was equipped with a small ''kitchenette'' and iirc a slightly larger restroom than what the other MU trailer-cars had, so it was selected to be converted into the home-made Private car.

Does anyone have the history of why this car had that ''kitchenette'' ?
( I could probably find its original DL&W car-number around here somewhere, if that would help )

RBMN (and occasional LGSR) Engineer.
