Does anyone know of an existing GM 16-358 gas engine around? It is an "X" configuration, loop scavenge, spark ignition engine with some component similarities to an EMD 567. 12.5 x 14.5 cylinders, 3500 HP @ 600 RPM. Said to be used in generator and pump applications and developed from the 16-338 diesel submarine engine.

Sorry I cannot help with your question but for others curious about this engine, as I was, I found this:

I didn't know it was possible to have a spark-converted "diesel" (aka gas engine with diesel level compression) on a 2-stroke basis with the gas being forced in via another valve.
