Post subject:  HEPC 46 gets a new coat (of paint)

Decided a few weeks ago that our 1920 ALCo 0-4-0ST needed a spruce up, and with our next open house at the Museum site set for this coming long weekend, it seemed like a good time to get it done. Of course, since little has been done since we moved it to our facility, anything is better than nothing. So, after about 8hrs of painting, she's looking better than she has in a very long time. It's not a permanent paint job, and is done in flat black. As of right now, only the upper part of the locomotive has been painted, the watertank, smokebox compressor, etc. I am hoping by the end of summer to have it all painted. Problem is the cab, which is missing mostly the entire back wall due to coal being left in the bunkers for many years. The missing dome will be put into position this weekend, as it was removed when we moved the engine. Anyways, here's a few shots of the progress of Hydro Electric Power Commission #46 earlier in June.
