Well, it ain't just the C&TS that's caught up in the fire problem. Today's Durango Herald reports the D&SNG will, suspend Silverton trains immediately. Trains will run Durango-Hermosa for at a 50% fare cut Bus service will connect Durango and Silverton next week, with a short diesel trip out of Rockwood. Sounds like is a long-term plan until the fires go out. 120 seasonal workers will be laid off. The decision will be revisted for possible July 3 excursions. trains@robertjohndavis.com |
