Any update on the status or PRR 460? The last official word was well over a year ago.

The PRRT&HS Keystone has had several features regarding the restoration. In short, the work is being done methodically, slowly, and with total regard to her historic fabric. Some area of the locomotive, particularly the cab and tender saw terrible corrosion from the sulfurous content of coal and pooling of water, snow, and ice, from 50 years of outdoor storage. She'll be finished in the paint scheme in which she last served, and the fabric of restoration should be such that new and old steel will appear homogeneous. Short of making her runnable again, you won't see better work.

My opinion: This restoration will set a high level of expectation for the rest of the collection, any which locomotive may be next in line is, as of yet, undetermined.
