Anyone know of a source of parts or complete (or even almost
complete) ALCo prime movers?

Primarily interested in crankshafts and main bearings.

TIA

Contact these folks, they maintain many 539's in active operation.

Try tracking down John Mech. The man is an expert on all things ALCo, and can be an excellent help in tracking down parts or complete locomotives. I do have his email lying around somewhere... Give me a PM if you need it.
