This car is not meant to be a museum piece... the work was not a restoration but instead was rebuilding and changing the gauge and adding a control stand, for heritage service.

Based on an inspection of the sister car that was given to Old Pueblo Trolley in Tucson, the car needed loads of work. Old Pueblo's all volunteer restoration cost a reported $70,000...

$750,000 for a one off commercial rebuild doesn't sound out of line... Brooksville is charging just under $1.2 million per car for the 16 PCC cars being reconditioned for San Francisco.

I also did not experience sticker shock seeing how much the Issaquah trolley project cost. We've had consultants toss some numbers at us for potential restoration projects at our museum and they're in the ball park.

What's the status of the Italian interurban? I presume the single-truck cars can be run with a smaller generator unit than the "Green Machine".
