So my wife is a fan of the show America's Next Top Model on The CW.

Synopsis for this week's episode:
Quote:
The girls visit a special effects production house where their challenge is to bring a video game character to life. The winner gets to create her own signature taunt that will be featured in Naughty Dog Production’s “Uncharted 3” video game. Then, the girls step back in time at an old train museum for a steam punk photo shoot, where they mix Victorian fashion with 19th century mechanics and a temperamental co-star… a live owl!

So does anybody not bound by a non-disclosure agreement know which "train museum" this was shot at? I saw a split-second glimpse during the "Next Week!" montage of someone posing on the front of what looked like a small switcher with a white/silver cylinder saddle supporting a smokebox.

Travel Town, the seemingly default location for TV/Hollywood static steam shots for decades? Or somewhere else?

A quick web search found these pictures already on the net.

One picture clearly shows a model on the front of a locomotive numbered 4439. The first result on a search for that comes back with UP 0-6-0 4439 at Travel Town.

Too bad their budget couldn't cover a trip the Carson City--the McKeen car would fit right in with the "steampunk" vibe (even though it's internal-combustion powered). I noted that some of the shots were taken on the PE/MCL/LAMTA "Blimp" 1543, which has the porthole end windows, and is of the type sometimes called "owl-faced" cars.

We had the pleasure of a "real" fashion model shoot this year:

The setting was LIRR bi-level #200. Enjoy . . . . .
