On thursday we wired up the car to the genset to test the lights and compressor. Happy to report everything worked according to plan. We are on target to begin testing BCER 1225 by the end of November. Just waiting for agreement to be signed with BC Hydro, grandchild of the B.C. Electric to operate on the ROW. Agreement with SRY(Raillink) to operate on their tracks has been signed.

Thanks, Bob. We have the Official Opening of our new car barn today, Sat. Nov 20th. We still like our OERM connection. Notice next to the big light is the sign you had on the car for its years in sunny California: Sunny, except for a certain August day in 2005!

cheers
Bob

Sorry to hear of Bill Watson's passing.

The BC Electric cars look good in the red and white scheme; but, the 1225 showed that the original paint scheme was an olive green with gold leaf numbers and lining.

You are correct. Up until the mid 1920s, BCER colours were green with gold trim and gold leaf numbers. It was then that the BCER went to red and cream. Attached is a picture of 1225 in its original colours, albeit a black and white picture. Obviously from the picture the car had just hit something.
