http://www.losttracksoftime.com/p47324941 All, Follow the above link to the images from my two recent visits to southwest Colorado/northern New Mexico – over Labor Day weekend and again for the Goose #5/Rio Grande Scenic excursions. A major focus was the men who work behind the scenes, early in the mornings and late into the night; behind the scenes keeping the past alive for us to enjoy. Their efforts so overlooked, my goal to bring them out of the shadows and into the limelight. Another was to capture some of the grandeur of where these machines roam; the mountains, the plains, the aspens. Enjoy, Matthew |

Thank you all for your very warm and kind words, comments, private messages, and emails about my most round of photos. Quite humbling actually, I shoot first and foremost for myself, what appeals to my eye and tastes; thrilled that others enjoy my vision. Have some trips planned throughout the winter; expect to see new locations soon. I’m definitely staying on this track I’ve headed down (pun intended) but am gearing up to venture out on some new techniques to give a new look and feel to my images. I’ve already started experimenting (rather crashing and burning), there's plenty of practice in my near future. I’m a big fan of constantly pushing myself, expanding the outside of that envelope. You sir, have an amazing eye for photos. I don't think there was a single one I didn't like, and most I absolutely loved! Speechless is all I can really say to describe what I feel. I could try to put it into other words, but speechless absolutely sums it up in the best way. Definitely an inspiration to us *not so gifted* photographers. |

Tyler, talk about humbling! Thank you for both taking the time to view my photos and to comment on them. This is all a hobby for me, a diversion and distraction from my full-time career outside of cameras, Photoshop, and trains. I use it to whisk me a way, to a better vanished time. Matthew |
