Those of you who are in the habit of linking straight to the Interchange, take a moment today to check out the RyPN home page. Lots of new content (Briefs, Articles, Editorials) for a new month--as well as a new feature (Hume asked me to let finding it remain an exercise for the alert reader). eledbetter@rypn.org |

Erik, As a suggestion you might modify the interchange headers and such to include a link to HOME, so folks can get there easier. I for one always go straight to the interchange. Some of those items are interesting reading. Greg Scholl Videos sales@gregschollvideo.com |

I'll pass your thought on to Hume when he returns from vacation--the Interchange is his baby and he should make the call. FWIW, you're missing some of RyPN's best if you're only reading the Interchange--sometimes we think of the board as the tail that now wags the dog. We meant it to be an adjunct to the online magazine, not the other way around! eledbetter@rypn.org |

Eric, All I see is Return to Index, Previous Message and a couple other links. I don't see where I can return to the home page. I think Greg is right, there should be link. I don't like the idea of seeing the mostly same stuff every time on the home page, but it would be good to go there once a week or so. I avoid the Goat because I haven't been able to get past the home page. That's one reason anyway. My brain won't let me type the other reason. dan svry@attbi.com |

The links I mentioned are on the Interchange Index page, but not the display page for an individual post. Obviously we need to re-think this whole system in light of how folks actually use the site. eledbetter@rypn.org |

Erik, This is what I have listed as a favorite http://www.rypn.org/cgi-bin/interchange.pl I go there to see whats knew periodically along with a few other web sites, as time permits. I do occassionally check out some of the briefs, but since I am not a mechanic I don't wade through a lot of that stuff generally. I have been tempted to write an article regarding some of my personal experiences dealing with museums, and more specifically gift shops, but I don't think a lot of folks would like what I have to say about most of them! As for the web site, it doesn't need a major overhaul, just add the home link on the url I posted above and throughout each section, so you can always go to home if need be. Overall the site works great, and I appreciate its existance. Keep up the good work. Steamingly, Greg Scholl Videos sales@gregschollvideo.com |

I bookmarked www.rypn.org/index.html, so I always have the links on the left. BTW, like the new feature. Why flimsies? > True, forgot abut that. Becuase like train orders (the carbon copies of which were called flimsies) those links have a built-in expiration time. Postings will last for 30 days and then automatically delete. eledbetter@rypn.org |
