Hello Everyone, This Saturday the 17th the Newport Dinner Train will kick off its 2012 Polar Express season. Our motive power will be our GE 44 Tonner #6 and the consist for this weekend will include an EX- US Army Kitchen car (Now a power car) 3 EX-Santa Fe Budd Cars (2 are now table cars and 1 is a kitchen car) and one of our Budd RDC's BC-30. Our line is the Newport Secondary Line which runs from downtown Newport Rhode Island to Portsmouth Rhode Island where a swing bridge across the Sakonnet River used to connect us to the main land in Tiverton Rhode Island. The line really has some breathtaking views and if you have the chance to do it at night the sunset and the moon across the bay is really something. I hope to see some of you out there. Have a safe day! Mathew Horning
