Nice video. Watching this I was wondering, how many steam locomotives does Essex currently have operational?

You saw them both: Nos. 40 & 3025.
No. 97 has been inspected and is waiting for a scope of work, budget, shop time and sufficient funds to accomplish a 1472 day inspection and other repairs. We won't begin the work until we have the money to do the entire project.
