This is a post I made on the Dead Goat about support of the railroad. Well guys and gals it looks like your thinking caps are on and working. But you still need to understand it takes money to make money. I think what has been said in the "new thread" about steps to think out of the box and how to save the railroad are in the the right direction. El Coke put it in about a direct way as one could. With that said that brings me to the money part. We got a check from the RGRPC in the mail today for $40.00 for a refund from our ride on opening day. I called the office in Chama and told them the check was coming back to them. They need it more than I do. I also asked how SEASON PASS Sales were doing and was told they couldnt believe how many requests they were getting daily. My wife and I are both season pass holders and we urge you to buy one if you havent. Tell your railfan friends to do the same. This is much needed income for the railroad and it is a way for you to help. As my grandfather once said,as we sat on nail kegs in front of his blacksmith shop, Money talks and bull**** walks. johndeck@cox.net |
