I just purchased a 1917 Morehead and North Fork Railroad Pass off Ebay and would like to know more about F E Mower. I found some info on the railroad mentioned above and how it took control of the Dry Fork Railroad in Hendricks West Virginia and the connection to the Western Maryland Railroad. This road went from Hendricks to Horton a distance of approx. 30 miles. I thought maybe some of the Western Maryland historians would be able to fill me in to any possible connection between F E Mower and the Morehead and North Fork Railroad of Clearfield, KY. I know that the investors of the M&NF had other railroad interests including the Little River Railroad in Towsend TN. Any info will be helpful. Happy New Year to all, JD Johnson, Morehead and North Fork Railroad Historian |

Mower. I'm just guessing, but that name is likely linked to Mower Lbr. Co. in or around Cass, WV. Glad that you were able to acquire a M&NF pass. I'd consider them as hard to get |

Mr. Mower was the 2nd Vice President and General Manager for this railroad per the google search. There are even photos for the city of Hendricks with the Western Maryland and Dry Fork Railroad connection. The main thing I want to know is the connection between Mr. Mower and the Morehead and North Fork Railroad and or the Lee family in Clearfield PA. Thanks, JD Johnson, Morehead and North Fork Railroad Historian |
