The MBTA is planning on getting rid of there F40PH fleet and I see this may be an opportunity to acquire some for the F40PH Preservation Society. The thing is I want someone who has experience in these things to look over the letter I plan to send to the GM of the MBTA to see what could be improved.

I have no experience in request for locomotives. But the first I would do is invest in spell check. The correct word is writing a request.

Good luck in your proposal. Sure sounds like opportunity is knocking.

Hi
You may not get any reasonable replies on here, so if you you want to PM me i will give you my email address and you can forward the letter. We managed to acquire 16 locomotives and coaches in England through writing letters and bugging people, many thought we were mad and wouldnt give us the time of day but we proved all of them wrong..... take a look at this link of 6 of the 16 cars on the mainline in December 2012 doing what they do best..... Our train appears at 0.24 in the clip.......
