There is a thread running now about the 1904 Worlds Fair. At the fair, the Cagney Brothers displayed and ran a number of 15 inch gauge live steamers as well as a number of larger 22 inch gauge locomotives. The miniature trains were a great hit. This months TRAINS magazine has a great story on the INNO Trans show in Germany, which, we almost attended and now looking back.....kick myself for not going. We will be there in 2014! This show has now become what the Worlds Fair and the Chicago show once were. Be that as it may, we raced a 1904 Worlds Fair Locomotive against the 801 at the ATT&NW this past fall. The video can be seen here: http://wrrc.us/2013/01/impressive-15-gaug/ Additionally, we spent some time in the UK at the RHDR and we also toured the National Railway Museum in York while particpating in the World Steam Train Congress in York, England. That video will be out in a few weeks. If you want to see on train footage of the race, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU8N-JGIKIo |
