My brother, who still lives in Wheeling, sent me this item that may be of interest. It really belongs in Flimsies, but I'm afraid I don't know how to post it there. http://www.theintelligencer.net/page/co ... 12197.html Not bad--enjoy. |

For anyone planning to go to PTM, I would STRONGLY recommend that you take the shop tour! The docents are excellent and the collection is something else. (I would also add that they had a great idea putting benches around in strategic spots. I was there when my back was having a tantrum again and being able to sit down during explanations made it a much more enjoyable experience.) |

Potential visitors to Pennsylvania Trolley Museum need to be aware that the museum is closed for public operations through late March. See the museum's website (www.pa-trolley.org) for exact dates. There is a great deal of activity in the restoration shop and elsewhere during this down time. Visitors interested in that aspect of PTM can often be accommodated, but need to know ahead of time that car operations are unlikely and certainly not guaranteed. |
