2013 marks 110 years since the founding of the Western Pacific. Come help us celebrate.
The convention will be held May 17 – 19, 2013 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and is hosted by the California State Railroad Museum. Schedule and clinic listing will be posted soon, along with special add-on events.
We also have a block of rooms reserved at a special convention discount for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham-Sacramento. The Hawthorn Suites is located about 3/4 of a mile from CSRM and has easy access to the museum by either the complimentary shuttle bus provided by the hotel or via the Sacramento Riverwalk.
The rooms are Double Queen Suites and the convention special price is $67 per room, per night, plus taxes, with a maximum of four guests.
To reserve at the discount rate, call the Hawthorn Suites Front Desk directly, (916) 441-1200, and let the Front Desk Agent know that you are with the Feather River Rail Society. Tell them your date of arrival, nights needed and method of payment. More information is available on the convention website.
