Post subject:  Caboose 2516 progress in Cheyenne

Made some significant progress in the last few weeks, I now have started installing the missing lockers that we salvaged from 2455 and instead of a single t&g wall each side we are going for a much stronger wafer board wall with t&g on both sides, this will cure the lean to the south and support the weight of the cupola better. Its all about helping the poor 100 year old girl ! This worked really well and we removed the support cable without any problems, she is now sitting pretty square.
At the moment i am building the new roof overhang supports as 3 of the 4 are beyond saving, a temporay front door has been fitted from 2455, so i can keep working in the coming bad weather....stove to be re-installed soon.
Thats all for now, off to Denver to look at a 1954 double deck bus.....thats another story !
