I just saw the thread about the 643. Hadn't heard anything about it for a while.
I was wondering what the latest news is on the UP 4014, DL&W 952, K4 and the Kepner collection.
Say good night Gracie.

In his most recent column in TRAINS, Don Phillips talks about the "Pullman Palace Car" group that is working to run a very plush LA -> Vegas train for high rollers.

He notices company research shows that 7% of the riders would be railfans. He wonders why and how they would afford it.

I think he doesn't realize the power for the train would be UP 4014.

(ducks and runs....)

I'd be astonished if it was even 1% railfans.
